Ian Kortlang, Chief Executive, 360m

Ian’s consulting practice concentrates on providing strategic counsel to boards and Chief Executives on matters impacting their companies. He is at the forefront of public affairs, political commentary and financial relations throughout Australia, bringing over 20 years’ experience to the task of resolving the issues of the day. Ian came to the issues management business after a successful career as a political strategist, public sector departmental head, management consultant, diplomat and army officer. His political career includes being campaign manager for successful election campaigns in Australia and New Zealand and Chief of Staff for the Hon Nick Greiner and the Hon Andrew Peacock AC. Ian is an authoritative political commentator for Sky News Agenda and has a regular program segment with 702 ABC Radio’s “The Spin Doctors”.

Suzanne Mercer, Consultancy Director, 360m

Suzanne is a communications and issues management specialist, with an 18 year track record working in high stakes environments and with leading Australian companies and associations, both here and overseas. Suzanne has been the primary communications adviser to CEOs, management teams and boards often in times of intense media scrutiny and is highly experienced in the application of stakeholder and community research to guide communications strategies and practices. She is also an experienced media and community spokesperson with broad industry expertise spanning infrastructure and construction, financial services, utilities and industrials, aged care and community investment. Prior to joining 360m, Suzanne worked as a corporate affairs manager with leading corporates including Insurance Australia Group, Macquarie Group, and Leighton Contractors, and spent the first eight years of her career as a public affairs and financial relations consultant with KORTLANG and Gavin Anderson & Company.

Darren Whitelaw, Senior Consultant, 360m

Darren is a media and communications specialist with 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors and expertise in how organisations can optimise their online and social media presence. He is best known for his achievements at the Victorian Department of Justice, where he led the department’s Government 2.0 strategy and new media efforts; including the online response following the Black Saturday bushfires and the development of the first government iPhone app in Victoria. He also managed the department’s media unit and provided executive-level issues management. Darren has studied at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, holds a Bachelor in Public Relations, and has an Executive Masters in Public Administration. A member of the Victorian Government's innovation advisory council, he also sits on the RMIT University public relations program advisory committee.

Hope Clutterham, Analysis Director, 360m

As Analysis Director of 360m, Hope oversees a team of 47 staff across Australia and New Zealand. Hope is responsible for the day-to-day management of all areas of the 360m analysis division and consults with account teams and clients across both regions. Previously, Hope held the position of Analysis Product Specialist, a role which saw her consulting on a diverse range of analysis programs across the public and private sectors. A graduate of Management/ Marketing, Hope previously worked as a Media Evaluation Specialist for Metrica, a London based global analysis and evaluation company, and has also fulfilled roles in the marketing, publicity and PR sectors. Hope is a passionate advocate of public relations measurement and has presented at a range of industry events and media analysis workshops in the UK and Australia and has written articles on the topic for a range of trade publications.

Sareh Aminian, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360m

Sareh joined Media Monitors in 2006 and fulfilled roles supporting client monitoring service requirements before joining the analysis department. As a Senior Portfolio Analyst, Sareh specialises in delivering highly customised media analysis that is tailored to suit the wide ranging needs of clients from the health, pharmaceutical, retail and tourism industries. Sareh has an academic background in journalism, documentary filmmaking and politics. She recently completed a research thesis examining the way the Australian media covers international conflicts as part of a Masters degree in International Relations at Monash University.

Wade Featherstone, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360m

Wade has worked for Media Monitors since moving to Australia in 2004, prior to which he lived in London and was engaged as a media analyst for Taylor Nelson Sofres Media Intelligence and freelance journalist. He has an Honours degree in Philosophy from the Polytechnic of North London and a post-graduate certificate in Periodical Journalism from the London School of Printing. Wade has also worked in New York as a general manager for Island Records, and has a strong media and marketing background from working with a variety of media organisations. He has conceived, developed and delivered detailed qualitative media analysis reports for ASX 100 and FTSE 100 companies in the pharmaceuticals, automotive, media and mining sectors as well as both State and Federal government departments and NGOs. He now specialises in analysis for the primary, resource and utility sectors.

Wade Featherstone, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360<sup>m</sup>

Dr Kate Greenwood, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360m

Kate joined Media Monitors in 2006. As the Senior Portfolio Analyst for government clients Kate specialises in media analysis for local, state and federal government departments, as well as government agencies and government-owned business interests, across a range of issues including sport, gender and disability; health policy and services; sustainability and climate change; education; and foreign aid. Kate holds a PhD in English from the University of Adelaide. Prior to working at Media Monitors, Kate worked as a tutor and lecturer at the University of Adelaide in the disciplines of English and Media.

Dr Kate Greenwood, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360<sup>m</sup>

Tom Kramer, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360m

Tom joined Media Monitors in 2006, writing and editing material for Fairfax Business titles before moving into the analysis department two years later. As the Senior Portfolio Analyst for Media, Telecommunications, and Automotive clients, Tom specialises in media analysis for issues-rich accounts across some of Australia and New Zealand’s most fast-paced industries. Tom also analyses media for non-government organisations and not-for-profits. Prior to working at Media Monitors, Tom worked on instructional design projects for a Sydney-based online learning company. Tom has qualifications in journalism, media and communications and is working towards a Masters in International Development and Environmental Analysis.

Simon Smolski, Senior Portfolio Analyst, 360m

Simon joined Media Monitors as a Media Analyst in 2007. He has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from The University of Adelaide. Before joining Media Monitors, Simon worked as a stockbroker with J.B Were & Son, as a hedge fund adviser with Ord Minnett Strategic Investments (now Man Investments Australia) and in general banking roles. Simon is currently the Senior Portfolio Analyst for Financial and Business Services clients

Ngaire Shepherd-Crawford, Analysis Product Specialist, 360

Media analyst Ngaire Shepherd-Crawford is the 360m Analysis Product Specialist and advises clients on strategic media analysis solutions across the New Zealand market. Ngaire’s expertise is developing strong client relationships and formulating insightful projects that complement the country’s unique media environment. Having worked as a freelance media analyst, Ngaire joined Media Monitors in 2008 and has extensive analysis experience across a range of sectors including Finance, Communications and Education. Ngaire holds a Masters degree in Media Studies from the Victoria University of Wellington where she worked as a tutor and lecturer in the areas of Cultural Identity and the New Zealand Media Landscape.
